As a way to appraise the many decades of the Afrobeats trajectory across the globe and further enlighten the global audience on the peculiarities and socio-economic significance of the Afrobeats classics, the first day of the music festival, Thursday, will feature a symposium with the title 'Afrobeats in the 21st century: the realities and opportunities'.

It is to be taken by Fela's oldest son, Femi Kuti, who was born in London in 1962, but has continued his father's global Afrobeats legacy and also created his own distinctive style, strongly rooted in social and political commentary. His additions to Afrobeats embody his father's colorful style and quite often unfold in a form of storytelling, a unique twist he has brought onboard.
